County Host Brag Riders

CITY OF MOUNT VERNON AND COUNTY HOST BRAG RIDERS


Image Mount Vernon, GA  -  The City of Mount Vernon and Montgomery County hosted over 2,000 bicycle riders on Thursday morning, June 12, 2008.  The bicycle riders were participating in the annual Bicycle Ride Across Georgia, also known as BRAG.  This year’s BRAG event started at the campus of Oxford College in Oxford, Georgia on Saturday, June 7th.  The participants travel through many towns across Georgia ending their ride at St. Simons Island on Saturday, June 14th.  Greeting the riders at the Montgomery County Courthouse are Joe Filippone, Executive Director of the Montgomery County Development Authority, Mayor Joey Fountain of Mount Vernon, and Montgomery County Commissioner Brandon Braddy.
