Washington, D.C. - A Montgomery County delegation visited with U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, March 13th. The delegation included: Montgomery County Commissioners Brandon Braddy and Charles Truett, and Joe Filippone of the Montgomery County Development Authority.  Also joining were Mayor Joey Fountain of Mount Vernon, Michael Croft of Michael Croft Enterprises, Inc. and Terry O'Brien of Municipal Corrections Montgomery, LLC.

The Montgomery County delegation met with Senator Chambliss and his staff to discuss the County's economic development efforts and explore avenues the federal government may assist in those efforts.

Commissioner Brandon Braddy commented on the meeting with Senator Chambliss, "We had an excellent visit with Senator Chambliss.  The Senator and his staff are very supportive of our projects and our efforts, especially the Montgomery County Detention Center."
