Shane Curry Montgomery County Extension Coordinator


Shane Curry Shane Curry is a 2000 graduate of Vidalia High School. He attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, GA and earned a BS degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Agribusiness with a minor in recreation.

Agriculture has always been a part of Shane's life.  Shane spent 3 years scouting tobacco and cotton in high school. While attending ABAC he worked at the Coastal Plains Experiment Station in Entomology, and Weed Science.

Shane is a 1998 Master 4-H'er in the Petroleum Power Project.

Shane was a 4-H summer Camp Counselor at Rock Eagle 4-H Center from 2002 to 2004 and at Jekyll Island in 2005.

Shane has been employed with the University of Georgia as the Montgomery County Extension Coordinator since November 1, 2006.

Shane is a lifelong resident of Montgomery County. He is the son of David and Debbie Curry of Mt Vernon. He is a member of the Mt Vernon First Baptist Church, Georgia Master 4-H Club, Georgia Counselor Alumni Association, Vidalia Kiwanis Club, Altamaha Regional Shooters Club, and the NRA.

Shane's family also owns a small pecan farm in Kite, GA.

In his spare time he enjoys keeping his hands in the dirt as much as possible.





Julie Carter Davis

Julie Carter Davis, 4-H Program Assistant

Julie Carter Davis has been employed with the University of Georgia as the County Extension Program Assistant for the last 8 months.  She is a native of Emanuel County and resides in Vidalia.  

She is the daughter of Don and Trasonja Carroll of Oak Park.  She is a 2002 graduate of Swainsboro High School.

She has been married to Bradley Davis for 3 years. They have two children Braylie Grace and Jenna Faith.  She is a member of Rock Worship Center.





LeAnna Outler Connell

LeAnna Outler Connell, Secretary

LeAnna has been employed with the University of Georgia as the County Extension Secretary in Montgomery County for the last ten years.  She is a life long resident of Montgomery County.

She is the daughter of Jimmy and Betty Outler of Alston. She is a 1995 graduate of Montgomery County High School.

She has been married to Russ Connell for 13 years.  They have two children, Darby Elise and Mason Wade.  She is a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church where she serves as church secretary and her husband serves as deacon.
