Franklin Brantley was born on April 24, 1953 and is a lifelong resident of Montgomery County. He graduated from Montgomery County High School in 1971 and later attended Brewton Parker College. Mr. Brantley is employed by Weyerhaeuser Company (a forest products company) and has been employed there for the past 29 years serving as operations manager for the Southern Regeneration Orchards division.

Mr. Brantley has served on the Montgomery County Development Authority since 1994 and has served as chairman of the Authority.

Mr. Brantley is a lifelong member of the Higgston Baptist Church and serves on the Deacon Board.

Mr. Brantley is married to the former Belinda Taylor a lifelong resident of Montgomery County. Mrs. Brantley retired as director from the Department of Family and Children Services in Montgomery and Toombs counties where she served 34 years. Franklin & Belinda have two sons, Rodney & Jason. Rodney is married to Selina and they have one daughter Abby Grace.
